IES Profiles and MacOS Beta! | SceneForge 0.6.3
Jun 01, 2022 1:31 pm
Hello there !
This release has a few cool new features that I'm excited to share!
As always, you can take a look at the video below, or read on for more info.
PDF Export Config:
On some machines, SceneForge couldn't find the correct Chromium-browser for PDF exports. So in this release, you can manually point SceneForge to the right app location inside the Storyboard Configuration menu. On most Windows PCs this will be done automatically, but on Macs, for example, you may need to do it manually.
New in this release is support for IES Profiles, a standard file type containing information about how different fixtures distribute light around a room. This allows you to more accurately simulate lighting for your scene. It's an easy way to improve the accuracy of your lights without a performance drawback.
MacOS Support!
Yes, it's almost here! To make supporting this new platform easier, it will be available in a Closed Beta until it's stable enough to be updated as frequently as the PC version. That being said, at the moment it has full feature parity with the PC version, with some Windows-Specific features swapped out for MacOS alternatives (Spout vs. Syphon, for example).
If you're interested in testing out the MacOS Version, feel free to reply right to this email!
As always, if you have any questions, feature requests, bug reports, or feedback, don't hesitate to send us a message!
Thanks for reading!
