What's new in 0.2.0 - New Editor Effects and Import Workflow!
Dec 15, 2021 6:21 pm
Hey there!
It's been a while since the last blog post, simply because the releases have been relatively minor. That being said, you can view the whole playlist of update videos here.
Without further ado, let's jump into what's new in the major release of version 0.2.0!
It's important to note that this has some breaking changes, but a guide on how to upgrade your project properly is in the video above.
Additions
- A full editor effects menu on the stage mode toolbar. This allows you to toggle effects in the stage mode to increase performance. They do not affect the shoot mode view.
- A "Low Fidelity Mode" toggle in the main menu. This just starts up the editor with all stage mode effects disabled. On some machines, this speeds up the loading times.
Changes
- Because of the new post-processing/effects system, the raindrop effects toggle has been moved from the "Visuals" tab to the "Lens Options" in "Shoot Mode"
- All references to file paths are now Relative, as opposed to Absolute. This makes it easier to find imported files if your project folder has been moved or transferred to another device.
If you were working with all assets within your project folder, you don't have to make any changes, but if you were, you can follow the guide video embedded above.
