IC-VFX External Rendering + Free Horizon Fog | SceneForge 0.6.22

Jun 29, 2022 1:31 pm

Hello there !

As the Virtual Production field is shifting towards a more "in-camera" workflow, it's important that SceneForge has that capability, so that's why I'm excited to share this improvement to the External Rendering functionality.

As always, you can take a look at the video below:

What's New?

Previously, rendering a camera to an external view was done with a simple toggle. This worked but lacked the customization that is required for IC-VFX.

Now, you can still toggle it like before, but with the addition of an advanced config menu.

With this menu, you can set the window's size, position, and even make it borderless. This is perfect for setting up an LED-Wall (or even a large TV!) to shoot your scenes "In-Camera"!

Horizon Fog is Now Free!

With the addition of the new Physical fog option, it was decided that the original Horizon Fog will now be available for all users on any plan level.

Anything Else?

There are a few notable bug fixes that I'd like to highlight:

  • Fixed: On some devices, Shoot Mode buttons wouldn't work
  • Fixed: Material Editing would either be invisible or fail to save
  • Improved: RAM usage for Shoot Mode functionality

If you have any questions, feel free to reply right to this message.
