Exporting Models and Scenes | SceneForge 0.6.26
Jul 05, 2022 9:07 pm
Hello there !
SceneForge is great for film, TV, or attraction previsualization aside from live compositing. But, up until now there wasn't a way to get 3D content out of SceneForge and into another program. Now there is!
Check out the video below for more info:
What's New?
In this release, the import menu on the left has turned into the Import/Export menu, where you can also open a Scene Export window.
Using this you can configure and export a GLTF or GLB file that includes all models, floor plans, lights, and cameras in your scene (all optional).
While OBJ and FBX support is coming in the future, GLTF (and GLB) has slowly been becoming the standard for web-based 3D and has been adopted by almost all major 3D software developers.
This means that after designing a scene using SceneForge (being more artistically inclined), you can bring it into a more technical program for further editing, authoring, and composition.
What else?
When creating and editing projects, the folder structure has been dramatically simplified, slimming down the project's file size. Rather than all folders being generated up front, they are created as needed by the program.
This speeds up creation times and makes your project easier to manage.
Thanks for reading!
