Using Modular Assets | SceneForge 0.6.36

Jul 21, 2022 6:29 pm

Hello there !

This is a small release with a new feature that will make your workflow a bit easier. Now you can control the transform (position, rotation, scale) of sub-meshes of imported objects.

As always, you can take a look at the video below:

What's New?

Well, in this release you can now control the sub-meshes of imported objects with the usual transform gizmos!

This means that if you import a modular asset (or simply one that you want to adjust), you can now move them around individually.

Previously you had to alter the object in your preferred DCC, but now you can do it directly inside of SceneForge.

While I still recommend importing as many self-contained objects as possible, this is definitely an improvement.

What Else?

  • Missing Materials in floor plans are now fixed
  • Terrain saving is sped up a bit
  • Terrain trees are a bit more performant
