December News (updated with correct link!)
Dec 09, 2025 3:02 am
I'm sorry to spam your inbox, but the original version of this newsletter had a bad link to my Chronicles of Tournai and Elemental Magicae books on sale at Smashwords. It's corrected below.
Hello, my darlings,
We're a week into December—and all of my Christmas decorations are up—and I still can't quite believe it actually is December. I'm sure I'll catch up at some point. For now, the tree and the other lights add a bit of welcome sparkle and warmth, as I try to stay cozy and calm and enjoy the season despite the cold outside and the state of the world. I've started my Christmas baking, stocking the freezer with dough that I'll bake later on, and my holiday reading. I always like to read a mix of old favorites and new holiday romances this time of year. I hope you can find some joy and calm as the year comes to a close as well.
The big Smashwords Year End sale starts today, and my books are all 50% off there through December. It's a great time to grab some books you haven't gotten to yet! The links are all below.
The edits of To Know a Dragon Spy, the second Dragons of Ivria book, are going well. I'm working as quickly as I can to wrestle this book into shape and into your hands. Because I really want it finished and available to you! More news as soon as I have it.
The usual things are all below, including lots of book recs again. Check out the links to my blog for those and for a guest post from my author friend J. Scott Coatsworth about his new book.

The Dragon's Devotion is still $1.99 in ebook on Amazon.
To Love the Dragon King
Once upon a time, before the hunts, dragons were plentiful in the world. Now they exist only in legend…except in the land of Ivria.
Featured Backlist Book of the Month
When conspiracies surround them, love is the only truth.
Currently Reading
Starting my holiday reading this contemporary trans romance that has been on by TBR for too long!
Monthly Book Rec
If you like your holiday romances with a bit of mystery and tension, I highly recommend this historical novella (It's connected to Charles's Lilywhite Boys series, but completely stands alone).
