Happy New Year!
Jan 08, 2025 12:31 pm
Hello, my darlings,
And happy new year! I know that the coming year is likely to be a difficult one for us all, but I have to believe that we will get through it if we stick together and support and care for each other. And so I wish you love and joy and so many good things in 2025.
I'm not really one for resolutions, and this year, I'm not even really setting firm goals—after the mess long covid made of last year, I hesitate to even try for something like that, and 2025 began with a change of plans, so who knows what that means (probably it just means plans unexpectedly changed, but...). But I do have things I want to accomplish and stories I hope to get into your hands, including To Know a Dragon Spy, which I continue to work on slowly but surely. So I'm going to continue to do my best and continue to be so incredibly grateful for all your patience and support.
All the usual things are below, including book recs, some books on sale, and a couple of events I'm doing this spring.

Currently Reading
I am having such a hard time putting this book down to do all the things I have to do. It's a fantasy with a bit of sapphic romance—on maternity leave from her job as an investigator, Kem just wants one night of adult conversation at a New Year's party, but the party begins slipping down layers of reality and into increasing danger and the only person she can trust to help save them all is her sort-of enemy/love interest.
Monthly Book Rec
I just finished this book, and it was an utter delight. Fantasy again, but much lower stakes. The characters and romance pulled me right in.
