To Walk Among Kings

Ahhhh.... Such peace. Book 3 is off the editor for round 2: DEEP EDITS. It's grammar and pacing, scenes and sequels. All manner of things that make my head spin. I've been in the trenches with this book for a loooooog time. I need a break.
What do writers do when a project has dominated their lives and they write and rewrite ad nauseam for months on end? Why we start a new project. That's what.
Tabir and Ember aren't ready. Tabir is still cooking and Ember just blew me away last week. I'm so excited about his new project I can't stand it. I even have a title and a new outline. But those aren't what I'm working on. Instead, I'm jumping into a new format on a project I've been kicking around for eleven years.
The Story
I wrote a trio of short stories--Trish and Vadar, Sid's Rage, and Lawyers, Guns, and Money--a few years back. They are set in a near modern day world of spycraft, intrigue, with a taste of soft sci-fi. The main character follows the trend of Jason Borne, Jack Bauer, and Cort Gentry. Alias as a show that fascinated me, even when it got weird. Well, these stories are about a team of good guys secretly doing stuff no one else can, and no one else can know about. My new story is an origin story for the main character.
The Format
I'm writing this as a bi-weekly serial on RoyalRoad.com. RR, like WattPad, is a platform to share free stories for readers to enjoy (but mostly harshly critique). These stories aren't polished or heavily edited. They are meant to be like the old pulp serials of the 50s and 60s. At least that's how I'm doing it.
You Can Help
I named the main character years ago, but I've never loved it. Click the link below to choose which name you like best.

Progress
Book 3 is out of my hands. I'll have a title soon. I'll start The Devil on Klack Mountain in about 9 hours.
