We had a quick trip to our tree farm (think big forest, not rows of Christmas trees) and rode ATVs. It was a nice Labor Day break. This weekend we are braving the Renaissance Festival in Southern Ohio. My costume us nearly ready. Check out my shield!

My eldest son, Nathan, made the face from modeling clay. My second son, Zachary, an art student, helped pick colors and showed me some techniques to make it look more real.

Progress

The coldread and first pass edits are done for Book 3! It has a ways to go, but I'm feeling good about where we are.

Once I'm done with my edits, I have a handful of projects I'm going to start on. Tabir and Ember stories, most likely. I'm considering releasing unedited bits of these stories as I write them. Would that be something you would be interested in? Let me know. jack@authorjackadkins.com.

Many of you know my wife is my editor. She is working on a secret publishing project of her own! I can't say too much now, but it's exciting to see her going through the process.
