Seriously. How Do You Decide What to Read?

I feel like I'm asking some intimate question, but I gotta know. I'll go first.

It's totally random. "Oh look, [author I like] has a new book. Let's get it now and start reading it right away." Apologies to the other five books I have going. I burned my last two Audible credits on Keepers Origins by JA Andrews and Jay Willis's new YA Urban Fantasy books. I get a lot of my reads from friend suggestions. What about you?

Do you click on ads on Amazon or Facebook? Are you monogamous to certain authors, series, or genres? Do you wander around your favorite bookstore waiting for inspiration?

There are so many books coming out all the time you have to be judicious.

Progress

It doesn't look like the needle has moved much. I made a major change and and had to do some re-writes so it feels like I've done a lot of writing. I should have the first third of book 3 done this week. Then I'll work on rewrites for the second third (not as many).
