Day Crafting: Do you get stuck in a routine?

Hi
Do you have time and energy available to play with your blueprints?
My latest blog post explores how tweaking our blueprints can lead to interesting shifts in productivity, satisfaction, and sense of time.
Growing up in the simplicity of routine carved deep grooves of predictability into my life. Yet, as comforting as these patterns can be, they also risk numbing us to the zest of life that lies just beyond our comfort zones. Whereas bedroom makeovers brought rejuvenation to my world (age 8), I've recently been giving my blueprints a makeover. This has meant reimagining the timing and rhythm of my daily activities to unlock new perspectives and other unexpected benefits.
The post I've written includes 50 prompts that you could use to makeover your own blueprints. For example:
- Ask your body: Listen to its rhythms and needs.
- Make a brick, not a wall: Focus on the small, achievable tasks.
- Work at a different speed: Fast for creativity, slow for reflection.
- Reevaluate the situation: Look at your challenges with fresh eyes.
- Consider the transitions: The spaces between set the pace of your day.
- Go a different way: Alter your route to discover new inspirations.
- Move it all around: Shift your tasks for unexpected synergies.
- Prioritise time affluence: Richness comes from moments.
- Plant a seed: What can small actions today can grow into?
- Increase the friction: Making things harder leads to productivity insights.
If you try this exercise, let me know how it goes.
Yours,
Bruce
PS. There are spaces available on the Apprentice Course starting in April. If you're interested, please book, and if you can recommend the course to your contacts, I'd really appreciate that too.
