Day Crafting NOvember Week 4

Hi
NOvember has been really interesting. I've had some assumptions corrected. The zoom call half-way through was really enlightening. For example, I can see that high achievers (from week 2) are as likely to be as busy as affiliators but for very different reasons. They're likely to take on too much (a different form of saying yes) because they believe that they will get the task done to the highest standard rather than leave it to someone else.
I've also read some research that says that people get busy to a set level of 120% (along with everyone else around them) and only then find it easy to say no. This is also an affiliator / reciprocity trait. If everyone else is at 120% busy then I need to match that before I feel comfortable saying no. Maybe we can collectively bring that level down to at least under 100%.
Another idea (aphorism?) I heard during the month says something about the first survey and saying yes because you don't want to miss out on anything. Here's the idea:
"Say yes to everything before you're 40 and no to everything if you're older than 40"
It is an interesting provocation but what do you think? Would you pass that one as good advice?
NOvember has been an interesting experiment in another way. I've been developing Day Crafting for a few years, as a side project and now as my full time job. I have very strong evidence that individuals find it valuable but growing a wider market for it is a challenge and marketing is very time consuming but an obvious necessity.
I've given myself the last quarter of this year to try to spread the word further which includes adding to the newsletter subscribers and I thought this NOvember content was a fair exchange for a few referrals (as it transpires, very few: 5 at the time of writing) but it's not too late to help. Simply copy your 'share now' link below and email it to your contacts or post it to your social media channels. With all my thanks if you do :-)
Yours,
Bruce
