Scottish Tales for Telling book launch
Dec 06, 2024 8:01 am
Greetings story lovers,
We descend into the depths of winter, the nights are long, dreams are lucid, and Wham are on the radio with ever increasing frequency.
I find myself wrapping up loose ends, to leave the year in a clear way, whilst plotting ahead for 2025. Storytelling residentials, craft collaborations, and a trip to Ireland seem to be on the cards.
I'm also feeling surprisingly festive this year, and hence whilst launching a new book of Scottish Folk tales, I've decided to tag a midwinter gathering on the end of it.
If you're near Edinburgh this Saturday, come and join us, its totally free:
Inspired by a successful kickstarter in early 2024, this year I've recorded my favourite Scottish Tales for Telling, and now have them in print too.
This event in Edinburgh will be a chance to pick up a book or two as stocking fillers, or the audio download cards, but also have a bit of midwinter feasting and merriment.
There are some fine musicians and storytellers coming along, so I'm expecting we'll have a rare old time.
If you live further afield, don't despair as next week I'll be sharing options for getting books and story audio in time for Christmas.
Until then, may midwinter rest and merriment be plentiful, and annoying Christmas songs be minimal.
Slainte
