What's New in FabianSpace
Many of you know that I freelance for business magazines. I have on main client, and it makes for an interesting schedule. They send me my assignments during the first week of the month and I work like a madwoman--sometimes 15 hours a day--to get them done by deadline. This is one of those months. I have until November 17 to get 6 articles done with research.
So this week, I'm doing a newsletter swap with a fellow author. Enjoy!
Meet Sharon Wagner
Now and then, I like to share a new author I've read or befriended. This month, meet Sharon Wagner. Sharon Wagner is a supernatural author, inexhaustible travel blogger, and illustrator of children’s books, including Maya Monkey. When she’s not traveling the jungles of Central America, she lives in Minneapolis with her husband and two cats. She's written The Levitation Game, which I've not read yet but looks fun. Today, I'm promoting her newsletter for her:
I try to bring my S-game to my monthly newsletter. S stands for Sharon and supernatural! Talking about my book is always an afterthought to entertaining readers. Topics have included alien conspiracies, news of the weird, food waste warriors, the fear of despicable reviews, and books that have inspired me. One of my favorite newsletters was a funny fake interview with wacky movie director David Lynch. My Halloween newsletter is the most comic to write. I love to be spooky. You can read all my newsletters in my newsletter graveyard: http://thechorusofthecrows.blogspot.com/. But you won’t win any prizes.
Readers can subscribe to my newsletter on my home page: https://sharonwagnerbooks.com/. Every month, subscribers can win a free Conspiracy Theory board game set. It’s a 50-dollar value, including a full-size game and a small travel size. Neddy Games has been out-of-this-world as a literary partner. And don’t forget to read my debut novel, The Levitation Game!
My mother’s antique typewriter was the catalyst that triggered my shift from illustrating children’s books to painting with words. The old typewriter was the sole survivor of the auction that preceded the sale of my family farm. After the auctioneer rattled his final call, the typewriter remained, and I took it as a sign. I’ve loved a good ghost story since my high school English teacher, Mrs. Laverty, praised my book report on Charles Dicken’s classic, A Christmas Carol. But real-life tales of my aunt’s psychic dreams and child-like curiosity about extraterrestrial abductions ignited a spooky flame. Television shows like The Planet of the Apes and all the hoopla surrounding the Bermuda Triangle fueled the fire. I can’t imagine writing anything else. It would be boring. I also find inspiration from travel and put my favorite destinations into my books.
Space Traipse Swag? Vern Merch? It's Here!
Last week, I showed you my favorite Space Traipse shirt. Vern took offense. He thinks he's first--and well, he's first in my heart, but he's not the easiest to draw. However, Brent Donobo made this awesome scene for me with AI, and it's great for showing off quotes. I like it as a mouse pad, but you can get T-shirts, cups, and more.

Go check out the other designs I have, and as always, if there's something you'd like to see, let me know!
