Personal Update

My brother's been around this week! This past weekend, we ascended a "14er" - one of the 14,000-foot mountains here in the US. This one, Bierstadt, was one of the easier peaks, but I'm still a bit sore from it!

Here's a view of my brother on top of the peak to show you a bit of what it was like - and also the smoke that's been hanging in the air from the forest fires.

In bookish news, A King's Bargain is up 6 more reviews! We're now at 77 Amazon ratings and reviews, inching ever closer to that goal of 100. Plus, on Goodreads, it's exceeded 200 ratings! Thanks to you all for leaving your thoughts on the book thus far!

On Writing...

A Queen's Command has reached the last stage of the process - the final draft! As with A King's Bargain, I'll comb through the manuscript one more time to tighten up the language and pick up any small errors that have slipped through with the edits. It also helps me get a sense of what the story's like as a reader, which is always a gratifying feeling!

After first drafting and idea building, this final proof is my favorite part of the writing process. Pictured here are the printed pages with a celebratory drink!
