The Frozen Throne Serialization Announcement! | THE FELLOWSHIP

Hello, good Fellowship! I hope everyone is well!
First off, I've recently begun switching email providers - which means things could get a bit wonky in the meantime. Apologies in advance if you have any issues, and do let me know if you run into any and I'll get you sorted out!
The launch for A King's Bargain continues to go well - it's now become a #1 bestseller in three categories! Thanks again for your support and encouragement throughout it!
A Queen's Command is still plugging along - nearly 70k words in now! It's always the most exciting part of the writing process as I near the climactic moments of the book, so I'm pretty eager to keep on going!
But anyway, let's get to the main point of this broadcast, shall we?
I'm serializing another book! Meet The Frozen Throne, Book 1 in a new series, The Winter's War Saga.
(Temporary cover)
This has been a long time coming... and I mean a very long time. The Frozen Throne is actually the first book I began writing seven years ago - or rather a version of it, as I've rewritten it not once, not twice, but three times!
This past spring, I finished up the latest rewrite, and it's finally at a place where I'm happy with it! I haven't let my fiancée read it as of yet, but considering the first draft is still one of her favorite books of mine, I think it stands a good chance of passing her approval... hopefully.
But as to what it's about - in short, it's a Nordic-inspired tale and is sort of like Game of Thrones in concept (but with a lot less incest!). I was a huge reader of mythology when I was young, so there's a lot inspired by the Norse pantheon and Viking culture. In general, it's a lighter touch on the magic than my other books have been, but there's certainly a slow burn build of it planned for the series.
We begin by following two of the grown children of the ruling family of a small city-state called Oakharrow. The story will expand from there to encompass the whole of the continent Enea, including an Egyptian-inspired kingdom, as the land devolves into conflict.
Bjorn, third-in-line to the inheriting the throne of Oakharrow, is seventeen and has what his brothers' call "a scholar's courage" - which is to say, no courage at all. As events unfold and his family suffers a sudden catastrophe, he struggles with his revulsion of violence and his fear as he tries to claim vengeance for Oakharrow, but finds something else in its place...
Aelthena, Bjorn's older sister, is twenty and ambitious, with hopes to gain power and rule in her own right. But as a woman in a patriarchal society, many barriers stand in her way. Yet when tragedy strikes Oakharrow, she finds her opportunity to seize the reins, but must struggle with acting on her ambitions and doing what is best for her family and her people...
But beyond our protagonists' struggles, there's a far greater game at play. An ancient enemy has returned after a millennium of peace, and they mean to claim the whole of Enea...
That's the basic premise! Hopefully that's intriguing to you and you'll either follow along with the serialization as I begin it in the next month or so or pick up a copy when it comes available!
In the meantime, I have a prequel for you to check out, which follows a past event for a mentor figure in the series. You can grab An Omen in the Snow through the button below!
One final note: The Frozen Throne is on Wattpad, but don't start reading it there yet! I've revised and rewritten it further since I put that part up a few years ago. I'll let you know when everything's updated so you can set into it!
