Hey, Kickstarter crowd!

Tomorrow is the big day! At 10 AM Eastern Standard Time, I'll be clicking the launch button for A King's Bargain's deluxe edition Kickstarter. I hope you're as ready for it as I am!

To prepare you for what's coming, I wanted to mention what the top reward tier is exactly, since I alluded to it in a previous email.

Essentially, the tier name says it all: The Deluxe Hardcover + Name a Character!

In addition to the physical rewards—the deluxe edition, the limited edition paperback, the wood bookmark (did I mention we're doing wood bookmarks?)—you'll get the opportunity to name a character in the sequel series to Legend of Tal.

Since Legend of Tal itself is already written and complete, it's not possible to name a character in it. However, as I'm only just getting started on the next series, it's the perfect time to get in on the ground level!

There are, of course, some bounds on naming characters. The names have to fit within the world and cultures. But, since there are a wide variety of those in Aolas, I'm confident we'll be able to find a place for most names.

At minimum, the character you name will be a significant character with speaking lines and scenes. If I really like where things are going with it, I may even make them a major sidekick!

Ideally, you'll also have input on the fantasy race, background, and personality of the character. So it doesn't just stop at "naming"!

In essence, that's what the "Name a Character" tier is all about. I hope that's piqued your interest!
