New/Old Covers for The Famine Cycle! | THE FELLOWSHIP
Jul 23, 2020 5:01 pm
Hello, fantastic Fellowship! Hope you're having a good week!
I'm presently working my way through the editing slog for A Queen's Command. While it's satisfying to see the book shape up, it's not nearly as much fun to fix all the issues as to make them... but we'll get back to first drafting soon enough!
Once I'm through the second draft, I'll let it sit for a week or two before turning back to it. And in the meantime, I'll do another pass on The Frozen Throne!
Yes, indeed, I am still working on Frozen Throne - if slowly. With A King's Bargain still carrying on momentum on Amazon/Kindle Unlimited, and the audiobooks waiting in the wings to be produced, Legend of Tal has captured the lion's share of my attention at the moment.
But fear not! Once I do this next pass on my Nordic epic, it should be in good enough shape to be able to start the serialization, and you'll be able to explore the frozen mountains and cities of the Winter's War saga!
On a personal note, I'm heading out into the mountains again for some backpacking and photography. If I don't get eaten by bears or mountain lions, I'll see you next week!
Back to the Beginning...
You might have seen glimpses of this already, but I wanted to give you all a heads up that I'm using the original covers that I commissioned for The Famine Cycle now!
If you hadn't seen them before, take a look at Rebekah's fantastic depictions of Airene, the protagonist of the primary trilogy, and Talan, a main character and the protagonist of a novella in the same world.
Now, Famine Cycle is a bit of a special series in that I've written both prequel and "sidequel" novellas for it. As the reading order isn't obvious, the below is what I recommend - though jumping straight into City of Whispers is also an option!

Help me make a book free!
One ask here this week - would you mind helping me make Secret Seller free on Amazon?
By default, Amazon only allows you to set a book's price to $0.99. But so that people can get a taste of the world of The Famine Cycle, I'm wanting it set to free there as well as all the other stores. Unfortunately, it takes a number of people reporting it as "free" for Amazon to actually change the price!
If you wouldn't mind helping me out, it will only take a minute! All you have to do is:
1) Use this link and go to Secret Seller's Amazon page.
2) Scroll down to under the Product Details header where it says "Would you like to tell us about a lower price?"
3) Click that link, then fill in the information. Use any of the other store links for Secret Seller (Kobo, Barnes & Noble, Apple, etc.) to report a price of $0, then submit.
That's it! And feel free to grab yourself a no-cost copy while you're at it from one of the other stores!
