Hey there, Kickstarter crowd! Hope you've been well since the last newsletter.

More news is in for The First Ancestor Kickstarter! Over the past weekend, the campaign hit its second stretch goal, which means art cards are coming to backers. I'm imagining this as postcard-sized prints with one of the new illustrations on each side. Physical backers will get the actual postcards and everyone will get digital files for them.

That brings us to Stretch Goal #3: the second flashbacks novella! You'll already be receiving the first flashbacks novella, Dawn of the Ranger, with your rewards. This second novella will build on Leiyn's background from where that one left off: training in the Wilds Lodge as a ranger. If you enjoyed the first set of chapters in The Last Ranger, you'll get a lot more of Lodge life in this story!

As with the first novella, you may see some of the scenes pop up in The First Ancestor or even the following sequels. So if you prefer everything to be fresh for the main series reads, be warned! However, there will also be additional chapters not included in the main books, and since they'll be sequentially ordered, it makes Leiyn's upbringing into a coming-of-age story. I found the last one satisfying to write, so I hope you enjoy it as well!

Additionally, note that this will be a digital reward, so you'll only receive it in an ebook format.
