The Ubuntu Basketball February Camp is not only a transformative experience for players but also a unique learning opportunity for coaches. Join Coach Kerri Kuzbyt, a renowned Skills and Transformation Basketball Specialist, and Coach Ermay Duran, a global expert in player and coach development, to gain hands-on insights into the Constraints-Led Approach (CLA). This camp is designed to help coaches refine their craft, integrate innovative methodologies, and implement effective training strategies in real-time game scenarios.

What to Expect as a Coach Attendee

Learn the Constraints-Led Approach (CLA)

Gain a deep understanding of CLA, a methodology that focuses on developing adaptable, creative, and game-ready athletes by emphasizing skill emergence through real-game scenarios rather than isolated drills.

Camp Structure:

• Day 1 & 2: High-intensity player development focusing on perceptual and decision-making skills in dynamic environments.
• Day 3: Shooting development and coordination challenges to reinforce learned principles.

Athletes will have access to multiple high-level coaches across three courts, ensuring a competitive training environment with personalized attention.

Hands-On Learning and Practical Application

• Morning: Observe the live implementation of CLA and Differential Learning (DL) during training sessions.
• Coach Education Hour: Gain a deeper understanding of the rationale behind training design choices and learn how to implement them effectively.
• Afternoon: Apply constraints and design learning environments during scrimmages under expert guidance, receiving real-time mentoring on how to utilize these approaches with athletes.

This structured approach ensures that coaches gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience rather than passively observing from the sidelines.

Interactive Q&A and Discussions

• Observe live training sessions led by Kerri Kuzbyt and Ermay Duran.
• Engage in informal discussions with the coaching staff, creating a collaborative environment to exchange ideas, share experiences, and ask questions in a relaxed setting.

• Location: Sporthal Ijburg, Amsterdam
• Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM daily
• 9:30 AM: Arrival and introductions
• 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Training session observation and guided learning
• 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Informal Q&A and discussions with either Coach Kerri or Coach Ermay based on the daily activity roster
