I was so uncomfortable

Hey Calm & Colorful Mama!!


I’ve been into this emotional regulation thing for a while. And the longer I do it, the more I feel like I need to remind you that I was a newbie once, too.

And by newbie, I mean it.

The first time I went to my first acupuncture appointment he prescribed me to breathe, I was so uncomfortable. I had no idea as a 20 something year old I didn't know I wasn't breathing the most optimal way. I had high anxiety and it was directly linked to the way I was unintentionally breathing with my chest.

But I kept going. First, I learned different breathing exercises. Then I started meditating. Then I created a daily practice of intentional breathing.

And now? I live a calm and colorful life (even as a new mommy and full time traveler).
