These images are of my large A0 glass paintings captured during the cycle of the light changing behind the glass, photographed by a very talented photographer in the dark to capture the luminosity of the original artwork. These are unique in terms of the capture of the image of the moving artwork (through change of light) in absolute darkness which cannot be captured during exhibition. Making these very affordable artworks compared to the glass paintings.

I thought it might be nice thing to do to focus on one artwork in this newsletter sometimes. So here goes....let me know what you think? Please do drop me a line.
Above is Under The Sea Wind is one of the paintings moving from the exhibition The Control Tower at Kings Hill to The Cripps in Horsham.
It’s part of a my current body of work that likens us to the sea, InnSaei meaning the sea within. Most would agree now more than ever we need to look after ourselves, the people around us, the rest of humanity, other beings that we share the planet with and our environment. If we can see ourselves as part of nature not apart from it can we make the shift?
Under The Sea Wind is the title of one of the marine biologist Rachel Carson’s books in a trilogy bringing life to the journey of sea dwellers. These books along with Silent Spring advanced the global environmental movement in the 1950’s/60’s.
This painting is a tribute to Rachel & the book which brings life to her great knowledge and love of the sea.
Here are a few installation shots of Under The Sea Wind at Kings Hill before the move to The Cripps in Horsham where they are currently on display.

Finally here are a few pictures of the drawings I am making while I have been applying for a research & development grant to investigate & learn from experts around marine ecology to create installation works made from plastics washed ashore. More on both these elements of my work coming soon here on the newsletter.
