Dear good people,

Well life has sprung into action and I have much to share with you!

But firstly I hope life is going well for you and it feels like an age since talking to you all face to face. I would love it if you would like to share what's happening in your world...if you feel moved to of course hit reply (it won't go to anyone else but me).

So ........I promised an open studio party as part of my birthday month celebrations but since then I have had a few offers of events and after much contemplation I've decided to defer the open studio until the summer as I have one big event which means I can showcase my work on a bigger scale and a number of others around it coming up very soon! Here they are:

Dates for the diary

6th April

Mini Made @ Atelier by The Sea which is on Brighton seafront where I will be showing off my new cyanotypes amongst other print exhibitors. Lots of affordable original prints to see & collect.

Entangle - a solo show @ The Project Space at Phoenix Space

I will be showing my canvas and glass paintings, cyanotypes and a few surprises! I am super excited about this opportunity to showcase my work in a great large space like this.

Its also opening night in the main gallery of Libby Heaney's exciting exhibition 'Ooze Machines', the window gallery will have a fresh new exhibition on too, so there will be a real buzz in the building!

The exhibition will run from 5th until 20th May, open Wednesday to Sunday 11-5pm. I have yet to decide which days I will be in the space during the exhibition but I will definitely be there opening night & on the......

10th May- Phoenix Open Studios 6-8pm

I will be there for this as my second evening open of my show Entangle. I will have prints for sale alongside my paintings for this event and over the weekend.

120 artists are opening their doors for you to come and view their artwork and working environment, this only happens once a year so its an event not to miss. The open the evening is Friday 10th 6-8pm & continues on 11-5pm Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th May. Families with children are invited to participate in an artistic treasure trail, that takes you around the studios for clues. Visitors also have the opportunity to browse and buy original artworks and items direct from makers. All 3 galleries will be open too! With all of this going on that weekend it really can be a whole day event of free entertainment or why not split into a few days if it's too much in one go. I will of course be there the whole weekend.

Other news!

A lovely couple Andy & Helen fell on love with the triptych From Deep in the Earth and I am delighted that they are now the new owners of this piece.

These glass pieces are from early in my glass series and are very special to me as they were the beginnings of my abstract work and so mark a rebirth in my artistic practice. They comprise of Stirring, From the Hot Sweet Spot & Formation to make up From Deep in the Earth. I was thinking of the beginnings of our planet and the symmetry of how it feels inside us on an emotional and chemical level.

Here they are!

Hoping to see you at any of the events or please do be in touch if you feel moved.

I will send another update nearer the time with some insights into what will appear at my show at Phoenix Art Space.

Take care for now!
