Invitation to the private viewing of Immersion

Hello good people
I am very happy to offically invite you to my upcoming exhibition on Brighton seafront with Michelle Cobbin. The exhibition will run from Thursday 27th - Sunday 30th July, 11.30am - 7pm, with a private view on Thursday 6 - 8.30pm. Please rsvp if you would like to come to the private view.
Michelle and I first began talking about connections in our art practices during the lockdown when I joined the Ruminators Art Collective (RAC). We subsequently showed our work together as part of a group RAC show called 'Boom' in 2021.
Since then we have had many stimulating conversations exploring the similarities and differences in our work.
Michelle works on canvas or wood using acrylic and oil. I work on glass using enamel and chemicals. Both of us are interested in capturing a luminosity in our work.
We are both process-led whereby we respond to the materials as we are using them rather than having pre-planned outcomes in mind. We are also inspired by similar themes, share an interest in contemplative practices, and seek for our work to stimulate an emotional response.
I hope you can come to the exhibition, take in the view with a free drink and join our conversation. We'd love to hear how the work makes you feel.
