Hope you have enjoyed the lovely weather this weekend and ready for there week ahead!

Just an update on what's been happening and what is ahead.

The mural I painted at the arts festival in the lovely Tolox in the Sierra de las Nieves national park in Andalusia went very well. Especially as it was my debut of using spray paint to paint a mural which was hugely fun to learn another skill.

A little about the work

 ‘For the love of the sea’ says if we take care of the seas, then they can save our planet. Enric Sala is a conservationist who along with National Geographic have formed the organisation Pristine Seas. They are signing up governments to treat areas of the sea as national parks, with a target of 30% reserved from fishing dumping & tourism by 2030. If this happens, biodiversity will be restored to the seas, carbon will be absorbed by the seas, the climate will hopefully be in balance, there will be fish to eat for all and fishing and tourism incomes not threatened. So this work is depicts an abstracted heart & lungs of coral & other sea life celebrating all things sea life. 

The people were so nice and the breadth of work so varied and vibrant. The fiesta every night so much fun with music from Flamenco to rock and immersive performances too. A truly fabulous celebration of all things creative!

While I was away I spent a few days taking photos in the beautiful clear waters of Nerja with my underwater camera. Which provided me with lots of source material for my new body of work...watch this space for my new work. That's me happy as Larry taking photos in the photo at the top of this email.

Upcoming....

I have donated an enamel on glass painting to the wonderful children's charity Whoopsadaisy. Bidding is open now if you would like to bid on my piece of work or any of the other artworks on offer. Click the link below & you can scroll through the artworks that are up for auction.

Bidding will end this Thursday 5th October at the live auction at Soho House here in Brighton. If you would like to be added to the guest list for the event (you can't just turn up) then contact me & I can have your name put on the guest list. The event is where you can see all the artworks exhibited and join us for a glass of something at the auction itself.
