How are you? How is it even possible that it is only four weeks until Christmas? Eeeeeek!! I'll be sending out some sustainable Christmas tips soon, so keep an eye out for those.

Now, speaking of sustainable tips, are party favours the bane of your life when planning a celebration for your little love? Or even when your little love attends a party as a guest and brings home the inevitable bag of plastic junk. Ick.

If you don't feel comfortable just saying no to party favours full stop, how about planning for an edible party favour instead?

Bake a batch of cupcakes, but leave them plain. Set up a cake decorating station and each of your guests can decorate their own cupcake to take home with them. Yummo!! Other options are baking a batch of themed cookies to give out or offering an extra slice of birthday cake to take home.

Edible party favours are much lower waste than easily breakable plastic toys and trinkets.
