The Plan to Help 100 UX Professionals Land Their Dream Jobs in 2025
Jan 07, 2025 1:01 pm
Back in 2012, I was stuck.
Six months out of university, no job offers, hundreds of applications sent, and rejection emails piling up.
I was questioning my skills, my future, and my value.
Today, I’ve built the career I once only dreamed of.
I’ve led design teams, taught at a world-class university, and created frameworks that have helped others achieve success I could only dream of back then.
Looking back on 2024, my impact looked big, but it was small:
I have 31k LinkedIn followers. (But I only accepted 12 clients.)
I got 2M impressions last year. (But I have no idea how many people I actually helped.)
It felt good to hit big numbers, but the voice in my head wouldn’t go away:
“How much impact am I truly making?”
“How many people got hired with my help?”
This realization led me to make a bold decision for 2025.
I’m simplifying my approach ruthlessly:
- Capping my client intake.
- Putting out less generic content.
- Posting more insight-based content.
- Stop obsessing with the LinkedIn algorithm.
- Start focusing solely on helping my clients win.
The goal is to cut the fluff and focus on one metric:
Getting hired.
In 2025, my goal is to help 100 UX professionals land their dream jobs.
Not just any job—a role where they wake up excited, thrive, and make an impact.
No more endless applications, portfolio tweaks, or ghosting from recruiters.
100 people. Jobs they love. And getting paid well for it, too.
Here’s The Plan
1. Simplify the Job Search
Most UXers feel lost, overwhelmed by endless applications and generic advice. I’ll simplify their path by:
- Helping them identify their niche, target dream companies, and create a clear action plan.
- Teaching them how to get noticed by hiring managers through thought leadership and strategic outreach.
- Showing them how to craft personalized pitches that grab attention and stand out.
2. Build a Network of Opportunities
Most jobs aren’t found through job boards—they’re found through relationships. I’ll guide UXers to:
- Build authentic connections with hiring managers.
- Create their own networks to uncover hidden opportunities.
- Stay top-of-mind with decision-makers through effective follow-ups.
3. Turn Skills Into Offers
A strong portfolio and confident interviews are the key to landing offers. I’ll help UXers:
- Build portfolios that highlight measurable outcomes and business value.
- Master storytelling techniques to ace interviews and design challenges.
- Create a 90-day roadmap to deliver immediate impact in their new roles.
4. Scale While Maintaining Exclusivity
As the program grows, I’ll ensure every UXer gets personalized support and exclusive opportunities by:
- Capping spots for coaching to maintain quality.
- Hosting affordable, high-value workshops that teach actionable strategies.
- Inviting people everyday to join https://UXCareerpreneur.com/ newsletter for daily insights and make them a daily offer so they get hired faster without applying online.
5. Focus on Wins, Not Numbers
Every win matters. I’ll celebrate and share stories of UXers landing interviews, negotiating offers, and stepping into dream roles. Each win inspires others and creates a ripple effect.
The Rules
1. I don’t do maybe’s.
I only accept a clear yes or no. If someone is unsure, I’d rather focus my energy on finding someone who is ready to go all in.
2. I work within my limits.
I’m busy. I have a full-time job, teach part-time at a local university, and am a dad to a 2-year-old toddler. My time is limited, so I cap my coaching and workshop work to no more than 3 hours a day. It’s about quality, not quantity.
3. I provide value first, always.
I’m not here to sell you fluff. Everything I teach is actionable, clear, and tailored to help UXers achieve real results.
This is the Plan.
I’ll keep updating you as I go.
This year, I’m not waiting for the market to happen to me.
This year, I’m happening to the market.
100 UX professionals. 365 days. Let’s make it happen.
