This is my first email to everyone. As I create more, I will look at creating a template or a nice format.

As you know, I use Kira Dawn as my pseudonym when writing fiction. You might not know that I used to write when I was in school; in fact, my teachers thought I would become a journalist.

That didn't happen, but my career as a Training Consultant meant I do write a lot, but all factual. I also have a YouTube channel to teach IT and talk about gadgets. So my life was basically technology.

I would still think up stories but never did anything with them, then last year I wanted to learn how to use AI, so I tried to get Chat GPT to help me write, well, that was a disaster. Turns out AI does not understand fantasy. It did not understand a parallel world.

That was a good thing. It charged me up to start writing on my own. Book 1 was written last year, and I kept editing it over and over before I decided to stop procrastinating and publish it.

By that point, I had also written and edited the second book. So, I published them at the same time.

Then, over the summer, I edited book three while writing book 4.

As you know, each book is about two characters, but the previous characters do not go away; they are all connected. In exchange for signing up for this newsletter, I am writing a short story about how Anna and Leo met.

How do I write?

I start by thinking about what the story is about, generally what happens. Then I use software (of course) to separate the outline into chapters and sections within each chapter.

Then I use software called Atticus to write the books.

This past weekend I created the outline of how Anna and Leo met, and this week I have started writing.

Let me know if you would prefer the finished story or short parts as I write, and give me feedback.

I hope you are all enjoying the series. Book 4 will be out in December! I love the two characters, and it has a lot of action, but it's mostly one character telling another off!
