Well this is embarrassing... πŸ’©πŸ’©

Hey folks...

Well, these things happen to the best of us I suppose, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating.

It has recently come to my attention that Amazon doesn't update books the way I thought they did. So at last, after fighting with Amazon for a while, for everyone who purchased the original versions of the Blood of the Dragons series (back when it was called Metal and Stone), there is now an update available so you can read the new versions if you so desire.

Unfortunately it isn't as simple as re-downloading the book, like I once thought it was. You have to log into your Amazon account and go to "Your content and devices" or "manage content and devices" (depending on how you get to it, it will read as one or the other), find my books, and click the button to update them.

If you need assistance with this, here's an excellent guide to updating Kindle books: https://www.ereader-palace.com/update-kindle-book-latest-version/

And of course, if you need further assistance, don't hesitate to email me and I'll help you figure it out.

Now, for those who have been waiting, it seems the wait for the audiobook of Dawn of the Overlords is going to continue for a while longer. I assume it stems from the pandemic, but Audible's Quality Assurance team says they are behind due to an extremely high volume of audiobooks being submitted and can't give me any sort of timeframe as to when the audio will be approved and put up for sale.

Which is extremely frustrating. It seems that at this point there is nothing more I can do but wait for them to do their thing.

But, now that's out of the way, I do have some good news for you! :-)

In light of Revenge of the Overlords being delayed (again, I apologize for that. I've been totally caught off guard by the pandemic being very bad for my productivity. But on top of that, my daughter had major surgery two weeks ago, so my productivity has been even less with all the stress from that), I've decided to continue the trend I started with Shadow of the Overlord and post early versions of the first chapters on my blog!

So you can read the prologue HERE (https://kevinpotterauthor.com/revenge-sample-prologue/)

And the first three chapters HERE (https://kevinpotterauthor.com/revenge-sample-1-3/)

And finally, for those who have been following my progress, I just started book 11 of The Wheel of Time!

I haven't written my review of book 10 yet (the short version is I was pretty disappointed. It's basically 250k words of "What happened to everyone else during the climax of book 9"), but if you're interested you can find my review of Winter's Heart at https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2081924998

Well, that's all I have for you this week.

Thanks again for all your support, I hope you have a great week and I'll talk to you again soon.
