What's new with our cabins:

Ridge Top Adventure Cabin

If you've been to the cabin already, you know the the tight turn at near the top of the driveway could be daunting for some drivers. We added some concrete there to widen the turn area! Might not sound exciting, but it sure made me happy.

Hidden Adventure Cabin

A door has closed - Hidden Adventure Pool Cabin will not be part of Vacation

Adventures by Vicki. While this was a very difficult decision, we are very excited to see what window God will open for us. We are eager and optimistic about what new opportunities and possibilities the future holds.

Events in the Smokies:

As we still have availability at Ridge Top Adventure Cabin in February, I'm going to share the winters events one last time. Stay tuned in February for spring events to be highlighted.

Finding the Perfect Cabin Rental in or near Gatlinburg

Another thing to consider is local events that you either want to attend or maybe want to avoid. (due to high traffic times)

A Local Legend, at least according to us!

I'm highlighting a hike in the National Park this month instead of a local business. It's been on my bucket list to hike Ramsey Cascades, and it keeps coming across my path since the New Year. Most recently, it was listed as the 5th most beautiful view in the National Park. It's a challenging 8-mile round trip hike with over 2,000 feet of elevation gain where you'll find the highest waterfall in the park, with water dropping 100 feet over rock outcroppings and collecting in a small pool below. I can't wait to do this hike!

Smoky Mountain Bears:

January is the when bear cubs are born in the Smokies. It is pretty unbelievable that they weigh far less than a human at birth, at only about 8 ounces. They are also born blind. While 3 is the average litter size, Mama bears may give birth to 1 to 6 cubs at a time.
