Who's the host:

Vacation Adventures by Vicki was formed out of the desire to be a blessing to others by providing an exceptional vacation experience at our favorite destination - The Great Smoky Mountains. All this, while providing flexibility to allow me (Vicki) to be there for my three teenage boys and my husband. You know, be a business owner and work 24-7 instead of 9-5. 😊

What's new you ask... I'm proud to announce that I earned Superhost status with Airbnb. I'm grateful for the credibility that gives me as a host, but I am continually educating myself on marketing, so that I can find my guests, allowing them to book direct and save on fees that the online travel agencies charge.

Do you now someone who needs a vacation? Please share with them; I'd love to host them and have them book direct and keep that fee money in their own pocket! And I'd love to send you a gift, if your referral chooses to stay at one of our cabins.

What's new with our cabins:

Ridge Top Adventure Cabin

Guests are raving about the amenities and the ability to relax and enjoy the cabin. As the weather is getting cooler, the firepit has been a favorite. Did I mention that we supply the firewood?

And the leaves are just starting to change as you can see in this view from our front porch.

Hidden Adventure Cabin

We are loving the opaque garage door leading into the indoor pool! Warm sunny afternoon? Just open up the door and let the fresh air flood in. Cooler day or evening? No worries. Just close the door to keep the cold out, while still allowing the sun to shine in. We can't wait to dip our toes in this new pool!

A Local Legend, at least according to us!

You may have already gathered that I love the outdoors. It is my happy place. I find Anakeesta a great balance between a theme park and an authentic mountain experience. There are other similar places that are great as well, but the focus on enjoying the beauty of the mountains and nature make Anakeesta a favorite attraction of mine. Not keen on the Chondola, no worries. Just ride the Ridge Rambler up the mountain instead. And be sure to check out their special fall events.
