Deploy the NEW Teams Client (and cleanup the classic)

Since I've had several environments where the transition from the classic to the new Teams client wasn't as smooth as expected, I've written an extended install routine.

This routine cleans up the classic Temas installation and it folders for all users before installing the new Teams client using the new bootstrap installer method.

Strictly Enforce Location Policies in Entra ID: A Gift of Secure Access

As part of the Festive Tech Calendar 2023 I've looked closer at the Conditional Access feature "Strictly Enforce Location Policies".

This feature is still in preview, but it is a great feature to reduce the risk of token theft. I wouldn't recommend it for end users, but definitely for administrative access.

Autopilot Deployment Recommendation

Finally Microsoft added this section to their Autopilot Deployment page:

This will certainly make it easier to lead customers to a modern workplace. 

As a side note, hybrid is totally fine, just don't do it with Autopilot.

Change to Windows single sign-on ⚠️

There will be a change to the SSO experience for our users. This is cause of the Digital Markets Act (DMA).

After publishing my last newsletter and posting on Twitter about the new version of the IntuneWin32 Deployer, I've received a lot of interest and people willing to test and give feedback. 

I am currently working on all the feedback and hope to release the tool with my next newsletter.
