Lone Wolf Entrepreneurs? Yeah, They’re Struggling. 🐺
So, the economy is doing that fun little thing where it tanks spectacularly, and people are out here scrambling for stability. Federal workers? Laid off. Teachers? On the chopping block. Small businesses? Feeling the squeeze.
If you’ve got your own business (or you’re about to start one because, well, job loss), there’s one thing you absolutely should not do right now:
🚨 Go it alone. 🚨
I know, I know—your inner survivalist is screaming, "I have to do EVERYTHING myself!" But listen, that lone wolf, grind-until-you-collapse strategy? It’s a fast track to burnout and broke city.
Let’s talk about why the smartest entrepreneurs in 2025 aren’t hustling harder. They’re building a business safety net—through connection.
Solo Hustle = Slow Hustle (And Probably a Lot of Crying)
Look, I get the instinct to hoard resources, avoid collaboration, and try to outwork everyone. That’s what the traditional, cutthroat business world taught us to do.
💀 “Crush the competition!”
💀 “Dominate your industry!”
💀 “Rise and grind, baby!”
…Meanwhile, the most successful business owners are over here like:
"Hey, wanna team up and make this easier?"
Let’s get real. The people trying to do it all alone are:
❌ Overwhelmed and working 70-hour weeks
❌ Underpaid because they’re afraid to charge what they’re worth
❌ Stuck in a scarcity mindset, too exhausted to see opportunities
You know who’s actually thriving right now? The ones who are leaning into collaboration.
How to Work Smarter (Not Just Sweat More)
If you want to build a business that survives this economic chaos, it’s time to stop thinking of others as competition and start seeing them as allies. Here’s how:
💡 Find Your People – Stop isolating. Join business groups (preferably the kind where people actually talk instead of just promoting their latest offer). LinkedIn, Bluesky, Spoutible, and niche Slack communities are possibilities for this. But since we aren’t isolating, reach out locally as well. Find local business owners who align with not only your business, but your ethics if that’s important to you.
💡 Co-Marketing = Less Work, More Exposure – Got a business buddy in a similar space? Shout each other out. Guest on each other’s podcasts, swap email features, or launch a bundle deal together.
💡 Skill Swaps = No-Cash Investments – Need help with branding but can’t afford a designer? Offer them a trade—you help them with something, they design your branding. Boom. Money saved, stress reduced.
💡 Referral Networks – If someone isn’t the right fit for you, send them to a trusted colleague. They’ll do the same for you. Now you’ve got a steady stream of warm leads instead of constantly fighting for cold ones.
💡 Create Offers That Work Together – Instead of competing, combine forces. A career coach and a résumé writer? Power duo. A virtual assistant and a systems strategist? Unstoppable.
Don’t Try to Out-Hustle the Economy—Outsmart It.
💡 Lone wolf = struggling.
💡 Smart collaborations = thriving.
This current economy is brutal, but you don’t have to be out here suffering through it alone. The smartest business owners in 2025? They’re building support systems, sharing audiences, and creating sustainable success.
So, let’s brainstorm. What’s one way you can partner up, collaborate, or tap into a network instead of doing everything alone? Hit reply and let me know—I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Because business shouldn’t feel like a survival game. It should feel human. 🫶
