Patient Success | Whittier Westborough
The incredible story of Damon’s recovery from a stroke and the team at Whittier who helped him regain his ability to speak and read.
Three years ago, Damon Mone could only say two words: ‘water’ and ‘no.’ Today, he’s reading novels, earning his black belt in karate, and proving that determination can rewrite any diagnosis. Whittier Westborough’s inpatient and outpatient teams supported Damon’s hope, dedication and persistence. His story is a reminder to us all to never, ever give up!!
Service Spotlight | Stroke Rehabilitation
Whittier’s two hospitals offer a continuum of post-stroke care: long-term acute care, intensive inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient stroke rehabilitation.
Having a stroke is a life-changing event. How soon you get treatment and are stabilized, and how soon you begin rehabilitation, can make all the difference in getting back to your life. Stroke survivor patients receive professional care from Whittier’s dedicated inpatient and outpatient teams - facilitating a safe discharge back to home and community.
