Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi everyone!
I'm a little early for Thanksgiving, and I know some of you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but it's never a bad time to be grateful for what you have, right?Right now I'm grateful to be having so much fun writing The Puck Bunny, my upcoming hockey rom-com! I've been splitting my time writing this and writing Beachcomber Christmas Miracle. (Juggling the two vastly different stories at once has been mildly confusing, but don't worry, I'll figure it out.😜)

This week we had a Friendsgiving dinner hosted by one of my besties and I cooked the turkey.🍗
Of course we had way too much food and lots of fun in the kitchen as you can see.➜➜
Now I have two more Thanksgiving dinners to go--one at my in-laws and one at my mother's house with my sister cooking.
It's a good thing I like turkey! 🦃

2nd Excerpt from The Puck Bunny
“I wouldn’t mind having you join our crowd, maybe meet us after the next home game. If you want,” she says.
“Really?” My mind spins like a Maytag washer with an extra-large load, figuring out if I can pull it off. None of the players know who I am at work since I’m new. I’d have to make sure I keep up my altered appearance when I come out—I won’t call it a disguise exactly. And definitely keep up my low profile at work so I don’t run into any of the players—especially Quinn. Not that that’s a thing. In fact, it’s highly unlikely.
“I’d love to join. It would be so much fun. Do you go to late night wild parties after the bar closes?”
She laughs. “Not usually, but there’ve been occasions.” She pauses and looks me over. “You might want to dress up a bit. Especially if you have your eye on one of the guys.”
“I do.” I can’t believe I spilled the beans to a perfect stranger who I only know as Sheila, the head Puck Bunny at The Tea Party. Briefly, I wonder if there are other teams of rival Puck Bunnies at other bars—
“Okay, it’s a date then,” she interrupts my out-of-control imagination. “I’ll tell the girls. Want to give me your number and I’ll put you on the group text?”
A grin takes over my face and I feel like I just got invited to the coolest sorority on campus only this is better, because it’s real life. Or is it? We just agreed it’s all about the fantasy, didn’t we? My momentary confusion doesn’t dampen the warm and fuzzy thrill that takes me as I rattle off my number.
After she leaves, I run down the street to the parking garage as if I’m Cinderella and it’s about to strike mid-night. After I finally reach my pumpkin—car— I drive home to Revere, just north of Boston, replaying the events from the moment I jumped from being a wallflower directly onto the stage with the players and puck bunnies.
Then I remember Sheila suggested I might want to dress up a bit and I gulp. Exactly how far out of my comfort zone am I willing to go?
