Hello !

This week, we packed up the car and started our road trip: Gold Coast to the Blue Mountains.

If you’ve ever taken a long drive with a three-year-old, you’ll know: it’s not so much a trip as it is a test of patience and your organization skills.

Road trip with tiny human checklist:

✅ Extra, extra snacks

✅ YouTube premium downloads

✅ Lap tray, colouring books and pencils for colouring.

But this one was different. We were heading to something special; the annual retreat for families with inborn errors of metabolism run by the MDDA, where my daughter gets to associate with other kids (and adults) from all around Australia, just like her.

For three days, she’s surrounded by people who get it. No explaining, no adjusting, just belonging. And when she walks into that dining hall and sees the PKU buffet... food made just for her, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner... she lights up.

It reminded me of something I tell my clients all the time:

When you design with care, you make people feel seen.

That buffet wasn’t fancy; it was thoughtful and it was all for her.

And that’s what great content is too. It's all for your target audience.

We don’t need to impress everyone. We just need to connect deeply with our people; the ones who feel instantly at home in what we create.

So this week’s takeaway?

Don’t try to be everything to everyone.

Be the PKU buffet. 😄
