There is a lot of power in slowly building a strong connection with kids so that when they grow up they understand foods do real things in their body and that's why variety is important. Choose whole-grain bread, not refined. As opposed to refined grains, which have been linked to many health issues, whole grains have been linked to a variety of health benefits, including a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease and cancer. They are also a good source of fiber, B vitamins and several minerals, such as zinc, iron, magnesium and manganese. Just make sure to read the label to ensure that your bread is made with whole grains only, not a mixture of whole and refined grains. I still remember my first real napolitana pizza. Sitting in a tiny joint in Vienna, across from our hotel. You couldn't book a table just had to show up. From outside, you could hear some singing and jokes being tossed around. All in Italian. Inside you saw this pizzaiolo like a figure out of an old Neapolitan story. Red Bandana and singing to hearts content while forming beautiful pies. Joking with everybody in the restaurant, if they understood him no clue, but he didn't mind at all. Seeing somebody having so much fun creating pure heaven... And the Pizza was just about the best thing I have ever tasted. Yes i ate three that night, 2 Pizza and one Calzone... couldn't leave there without stuffing myself with all of this glory. Healthy? No. Did I regret it? Not one bite.
